- Execution notes
- The fine-line page recommends producing the stencil digitally where line accuracy matters: “If your tiny tattoo relies on perfect lines , we recommend designing the tattoo digitally so you can create a stencil with perfect lines.” The basic-techniques page records that machine posture can obstruct it: “However, it makes it more difficult for you to see your stencil .”
- Tattooability notes
- A stencil is a temporary surface mark. The bloodlining and graylining rows exist precisely because a stencil can be wiped off - see technique_bloodlining, whose cited definition turns on that.
- Conflicts or cautions
- WEAKEST ROW OF THE TECHNIQUE SET AND NOMINATED AS SUCH. It is registered because the corpus needs the other pole of the freehand contrast to be nameable, not because a source defines it. Four of its six contract fields are honestly empty.
Provenance

States that fine-line work uses a small needle grouping such as an 03RL or a single needle, very thin lines and light shading; that light whip shading or stipple shading with the same needle avoids overworking the skin; that fine-line tattoos may heal faster because of lower ink saturation but may fade faster and need more touch-ups, with UV exposure accelerating fading; and that the core difficulty is that 'even a tiny shake looks huge in a thin line'.

Tattooing 101
Professional tattoo-education page covering lining, packing and shading as separable skills. It defines packing by outcome - ““Packing” in ink means filling in a section of skin with a single color or pure black ink.” - and by hand motion, and states the trauma constraint that bounds every multi-pass technique: “each pass over the skin causes more trauma to the skin”. Also the source for lining, line weight, riding the tube, floating the needle, bloodlining, graylining and colour order, which are written in a later tranche of this same batch. IMPORTANT LIMIT: Tier 2 trade education; execution claims only.
